The Neural Map
The Neural Map is a live, force-directed view of your workspace: agents, sessions, bit pages, and files, drawn as nodes with labelled connections between them. It has no rebuild step — it updates as you work, the same way the rest of NEXUS does.
1. Open it
Click Neural Map in the rail, or press ⌃⌘M.
You will see: a node for your workspace, a node for each agent and session you've created so far (including the one from Create your first agent and Run your first session), and a labelled connection between them — for example, "runs" between an agent and its terminal session.
2. Search for a node
Type in the search field. It matches a node's title or summary text as you type, showing up to six live results you can click straight to, while every match is highlighted on the map itself.
3. Select, then drill in
A single click selects a node and opens its inspector. A double-click — or the inspector's own "Open" action — drills in: it navigates to the real thing behind the node. What that does depends on the node's kind (opening a session, switching to an agent's Agent & Skills view, opening a bit page, and so on); see the Neural Map guide for the full table.
4. Try Focus mode and the legend
Turn on Focus in the map's toolbar to dim every node except the selected one and its direct connections, without hiding anything else. The node-type legend doubles as a filter — click a kind to hide every node of that kind, click again to show it.
5. Right-click for actions
Right-clicking a node opens an action menu scoped to what it is — opening it, pausing or restarting a live session, or a destructive removal action worded for what's being removed. Right-clicking empty canvas instead offers shortcuts to create a new session, bit page, file, agent, or workspace.
